AVON True Colour Perfectly Matte Lipstick Peach Flatters A few years ago I was on this endless quest for peachy-pink lipsticks that actually work with porcelain skin tones and don’t look orange. Well, this is another such shade. It’s a muted peachy-pink with just the right mix of both tones and though it’s muted, it still has that bit of brightness that lifts up the skin tone. I’ve reviewed the formula when I posted about the shade Ravishing Rose, but this is again another very high quality matte lipstick with a lovely siliconey-soft formula that just glides on the lips and has a nice sort of matte finish. Petra gifted ...

MAKEUP MAYBELLINE Fit Me Matte + Poreless  110 Porcelain I already had this in my last monthly favourites and I continue to love it. I have the original Fit Me formula which is now named Luminous + Smooth in shade 110 Porcelain and it’s my best fit in terms of shade, however, the formula is just horrible. So I was planning on getting the American version of Matte + Poreless in the same shade, but these tube versions started being sold here. I picked shade 110 though I was aware before it’s not the same as American version, since it is a shade darker and more yellow. Formula is very ...

MAKEUP MAYBELLINE Master Precise Eyeliner  110 Black For the last couple of months was trying to get my Clio liner to start working properly, but I gave up in the end, ordering this one because it’s very affordable online and it’s been pinned on my Pinterest wishlist for ages waiting for its turn. It’s a classic liquid pen eyeliner with a felt tip applicator that’s very similar to L’Oreal’s Perfect Slim. Now that it’s new, the formula is very fluid and black. I can be precise with it, though when drawing the main line, the top edge could be a bit smoother. Flicks can be drawn with it, but I’m ...

Empties #25 including K-Beauty skin care samples

MAKEUP  BOURJOIS Healthy Mix Serum I often say that this a foundation that I can rely on. It’s one of rare ones that looks very natural on the skin (coverage is light-medium), it doesn’t look weird over pores, doesn’t feel heavy and it works no matter in what weird mood my skin is. The shade is a bit too dark and yellow for me, that’s it’s only minus, but it has so many other pluses that I always keep a bottle in my collection.  Repurchase: Already done. SKIN CARE  TRILOGY Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm This was pretty decent. It wasn’t as luxurious feeling as Emma Hardie’s or as good ...

Makeup COLLECTION Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer I think this is still one of the best drugstore concealers, especially when it comes to high coverage. I’ve used up a few of these, though they aren’t easy to get. I have the shade Fair which is appropriately light and fits me ok. It covers a lot, so I use this one for spots, stronger redness and under the eyes when I feel I look extra tired. But it can look obvious on dry skin that’s one of its rare minuses. The packaging is a minus too because while I like the doe foot applicator, the cap breaks every time. Repurchase: Yes. ...

THE BODY SHOP Shade Adjusting Drops Lightening Thanks to my lovely reader and fellow blogger Oana from Not Just Makeup I finally got my hands on these. I first got the Catrice drops which I actually did end up using every day this month out of necessity, but they aren’t enough as they are basically a very light tinted moisturiser. Now these are already much better. They lighten significantly more, I can even make Milani’s foundation work (better at least). The trick of these is that they aren’t actually white, but a pale pastel pink which neutralises yellow and that is exactly what I need, not just lightening, but also neutralising. ...

BOURJOIS Healthy Mix Serum 51 Light Vanilla I didn’t even notice my bottle was almost empty because the bottle looked so perfect, but as soon as I did, I was running to repurchase this. Till this day, it’s the only foundation I can rely on looking good on my skin. Everything else I own currently looks so weird, but this is my knight in shining armour. It’s a light-medium coverage foundation with a natural looking finish that doesn’t emphasise the uneven texture of the skin, nor pores and neither lines. I have a full review about it here. But I have to address the rising prices because it’s getting ridiculous. I ...

COLOURPOP Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick Clueless, Sollow, Bianca and More Better Review and swatches here. There were a couple of opportunities where I had a chance for a much more affordable shipping costs from Colourpop, so I took the plunge. In my first order I got four shades, so I could avoid custom charges (I don’t mind the 22% tax that much, but the unreasonable additional “handling” changes are an insult), but I regretted not getting more, so when the next offer came along for free shipping, I got more shades. I researched the shades extensively, however swatches on truly pale girls like me are almost non-existent (or the internet doesn’t ...

CATRICE HD Liquid Coverage Foundation 010 Light Beige I’ve heard a lot of positive reviews about this, so I couldn’t resist not getting it even though I was slightly concerned about the shade (I mostly got it because of Sara’s and Le Makeup Freak’s recommendations. I linked you a before/after of the latter). It’s a very thin, watery foundation, similar to L’Oreal eau de Teint that I had before and when I tried it the first time on the back of my hand, it set to a powdery matte finish fast on the skin. However, you have more time for work with when it’s on the face if you use ...
